Several years ago, I decided it was time for a real change, you know, the one we all daydream about, complain and groan about but never seem to do anything about. I knew whatever I was going to do was not only going to change my entire way of life but also for those around me. In the end, I went for it: I changed careers (after twenty years) so I could chase my impossible career dream and fully embrace my creative side, connecting with people on a much deeper level.
Of course this meant going back to school, getting a degree, learning a completely new set of skills…essentially starting from scratch. I ultimately decided I was up for the challenge so off I went into the great unknown.
However, the universe had different plans for me and as graduation neared, I was thrust into yet another major life change when I relocated to Central Florida from the Pacific Northwest and back again in a three year period! (NOT in my plan even a little BTW). Did I mention I was training to climb a mountain during all this? Somehow still, I managed to do it all; graduate college (check), made it to the summit of a mountain (check) not lose it all in the process (check-ish?).
The many, many challenges I faced (and conquered) during my journey to reinvent myself tested my resolve countless times and on levels I did not even know existed. The process of creating this website and sharing my story with the world has been such a wonderful, scary and rewarding experience and ended up serving a much deeper purpose for me:
- It is my testament for not giving up and achieving what seems like the impossible through what was nearly the impossible.
- It is my own unique approach to utilize newly acquired skills, making the giant leap into my new career field a tad less intimidating. Win-win!

I remind myself that I am a continuous work in progress. My story is one of success and I will use it to keep moving forward in my journey. My struggles and triumphs DEFINE ME and I choose to leave minimal room for regrets.
